I'm Jason Ashong, the person behind AshongLabs. Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY. I build websites, fix tech, and help small businesses across the Hudson Valley keep their systems running.
The short version
I'm 25 years old, from Poughkeepsie, NY. I graduated from the University at Albany with both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees, focused on cybersecurity and information technology. AshongLabs is how I take what I've learned and put it to work for real businesses in my own community.
I've been the family tech guy, the friend everyone calls when their Wi-Fi stops working, and the guy who builds websites on the side for years. Eventually I made it official. AshongLabs is the result.
Poughkeepsie raised
Born and based in the Hudson Valley. I went to Arlington High School, ran track for 3 years and played soccer for 2. This community shaped me, and now I'm building something that gives back to it.
UAlbany alum
Bachelor's and Master's, both completed at the University at Albany. I studied cybersecurity, networking, and the practical side of keeping systems secure and reliable.
Built on discipline
Years of running track and playing soccer taught me consistency, showing up, and finishing what I start. I bring the same mindset to every client project.
Faith first
I'm a Christian and my faith in Jesus Christ shapes how I work, how I treat people, and the kind of business I'm trying to build. Honesty, integrity, and doing right by the people who trust me, that's non-negotiable.
Community over clients
I'd rather build long-term relationships with a handful of local businesses than churn through transactions. Loyalty matters. Doing right by the people you work with matters.

When you hire AshongLabs, you're working with me directly. No junior teams, no account managers between you and the actual work. You talk to the person building or fixing your stuff.
Why AshongLabs exists
I started AshongLabs because I wanted to take what I've studied and put it to work in the real world. Six years of cybersecurity and IT education taught me a lot, but the most valuable lessons have come from sitting down with actual business owners, finding out what's broken, and fixing it.
Most small businesses don't have an IT person on staff. They don't need an enterprise contract or a five-figure consulting engagement. They need someone they can trust to build a website that actually works, fix the things that keep breaking, and explain the technology without making them feel stupid.
That's what I do. And I'd rather do it for businesses in my own community, because I know how much it matters to have someone you can trust in your corner.
